Cat photographer Masayuki Oki was born in Kobe in 1978. He photographs the heartwarming, carefree daily lives of stray cats, primarily living leisurely in downtown areas. His three-volume photo book series, "Desperate Cats," has sold over 80,000 copies. Other works include "Ugly Cat," "Such a Disappointing Cat," and "Is This a Cat? Is That a Cat?" His work is currently being serialized in "AERA," "Nekobiyori," and "Digital Camera Magazine."
